Frustrated - Ceramic Brake Pads - 368mm - MY08-10 Cayenne Turbo
I did all of my homework, yet still coming up short. Having a VERY hard time find a good set of ceramic brake pads for MY08 Cayenne Turbo due to the upgraded stock brakes on this MY.
I wanted to go with Hawk, whereas they list 2 different pad numbers as compatible. However, both were not compatible
Of the two threads I found that were related, both people aborted their search and put on the much more expensive / non-ceramic OEM pads. Stock Part # 955.351.939.62 .
I have a new set of stainless steel brake lines, Castrol SRF brake fluid, and a Motive Brake Flush System just waiting for this to get sorted out.
Does anyone know if any good options (besides OEM) for the 368mm rotors standards on the 08-10 Cayenne Turbos?
Note: These are the bottom-mount pads for the red calipers. Minimum 18" wheel clearance.
Update: Aftermarket pads are available from EBC and Carbotech. Part numbers can be found here for all options found in US.
Correct Pad Shape - 368mm

Which Hawk part numbers are conflicting with the compatibility? We have a wider selection than the two found HERE.
After more investigating, it looks like EBC would be a good bet for what you are looking for...

Let me know if you have any questions

Thanks guys...
I got my answer on another P-car board. Long story, short - the MY08 Cayenne Turbo has a different brake size than any other MY
. This is the only model with 368mm front rotors and calipers (in MY09 they upgraded to the 380mm standard), so most catalogs are wrong.
The only other correct option (that I found, at this time) to the OEM (Pagid) compound is the EBC Yellowstuff compound (much to "ECS Tuning - Porsche" credit). They have been on order for about 1.5 weeks now, but are finally on their way
Since there is a good chance they will perform better and much cheaper than OEM, I decided to give them a shot.
Edit - Ended up going with Carbotech.
Here are the part numbers for anyone else in my situation:
Front Pads:
Porsche Part # 955.351.939.63
Pagid Part # T1798
EBC Yellowstuff Part # DP41835R
Carbotech Part# CT1349
Rear Pads:
Porsche Part # 955.352.939.63
Pagid Part # T1863
EBC Yellowstuff Part # DP41836R
Carbotech Part# CT1350

Cheers brother. You did great thing.
I ve been looking for decent pads since last year. Porsche did silly thing on our car. pads shape 368mm is really not common. Last week, my pads had reached the limit. I had them replaced at my local dealer. Front pair USD650 (inc labor)
I wish I could often check up this site, so I won't be ripped off by the bloody dealer.

Hopeful this will help out other MY08 CTT owners as well.

I need help guys....2008 turbo and I'm trying to change brake pads. I could not find a guide for the weird 368mm rotor. I got as far as unbolting the 21mm hex bolts but then got stuck! The caliper will not budge at this point. There s no visible guide pin to take out...is there anything else I'm missing??
Help is much appreciated!
