So i got home a little early today from my crazy schedule and see that my sister is over and she is blocking my garage. I go inside to get the keys to her 05 acura mdx. I back it out and drive it for 200 feet and park. Then i get in my car to move the car in the garage. The 200 feet test drive almost makes me want to puke. The Acura feels like a buick to me and the steering feeling is zero. Feels so wierd. I know the MDX is a very nice SUV and all, but damn I love my Cayenne.
I also felt the same way when i drove my dad's e320. I thought I was driving an antique compared to my car. LoL.
My car does have the steering vibration and the lock is sometimes embrassing me in public - but still Porsche has made a heck of a truck.
I am sure you all know this, but I thought I share.

I used to drive a CLK (old body style) and when I traded in for an SUV to my surprise the Cayenne sticks to the ground. I was reading an article on on Auto Car I think and it compared the Cayenne and Carrera in terms of weight and center of gravity, and they didnt understand how the Cayenne had such a high center and handled so well (in proportion). Pretty cool article, But long story short I have kept pushing and pushing the Cayenne and I still havent even been close to flipping, Last Month I took an exit off the highway which was over half a circle long at 92 MPH and it held On (The Airport exit on 595 highway in Ft Lauderdale). Has anyhone lost a Cayenne in a turn I am curious to hear what happens. On the 911 with PSM off you spin off really fast once you lose it but wonder what happens to the Cayenne?
besides the steering vibration, key fob embrassing me and the gas mileage - it's the most fun can i have owned. I love going on shor t or long trip on this.

From Motortrend about the S with air suspension:
"In fact, at 63.2 mph, only a more expensive Cayenne Turbo (and last year's FX45) have ever posted a faster slalom speed for a sport/utility."
(The turbo did it in 65.9 mph for reference)
The feeling with Boston road is crap, but I love it LOL
jenner: but the one they tested is normal springs, mine already lowered the car by quite a lot, it looks like a loading level on air suspension, a little higher but not as much as a low level. Probably the ride height on my car is the level when you do 130mph on the air suspension.

Perfect example. Motortend Techart Cayenne Turbo did WORSE in the slalom than the stock Cayenne!
Slalom, mph 65.9(stock) 64.2(Techart with Sport Air Suspension Control Unit)
"Techart's Sport Air Suspension Control Unit ($2299) allows for wider variances in vehicle ride height, including a 35mm-lower "low" ride setting and a 20mm-higher "high" setting. On the test track, the lower ride height proved to be of no benefit, short of improved looks."

Maybe the 4.6 has different suspension setup, I know for sure because of the 20 inch 4.6 it will feel better in turns, But the one I have is 3.0 and it in no way compares in handling to the cayenne
