Service Action WA29

Has anyone had this service action completed on their 2008 Cayenne GTS or similar? Not sure which models this action covers. I've had it done on the used GTS I just bought - completed in April 2011. It's the high-pressure fuel pump replacement with the new part number 000-043-301-27-001.

Question is - has anyone had problems since their swap-out? I'm anxious to see if I'm getting myself into something serious! Let me know what you guys think.

I've performed several of those campaigns. I only had a problem with one (actually on a Panamera 4S) where the new pump leaked. Otherwise, all of them were good afterward.

Outstanding. Did the Panameras use the same old PN for their fuel pumps as the Cayenne?

Yes, I believe they did. There have been at least 9 updates to the part before Porsche finally got it right though.

Angry

This service action or campaign WA29 - It was paid for by your dealer? My high pressure fuel pump just died and it's a 2008 S.

If it has not been done yet, it will be covered by Porsche. If it has been done less than two years ago, the pump should be under warranty by Porsche. If it has been done more than two years ago, you're on your own (assuming you have no warranty on the vehicle).

High Pressure Fuel Pump

Ok - Sounds like Porsche will cover this bad fuel pump.

It is getting replaced with part # 948110315GS

I assume both part and labor will be covered but I wasn't certain about the labor. I might as well have them replace one of the horns while Im there....water logged horn issue too.

Did they cover the labor as well as the part for you?

Both parts and labor should be covered if it's done under the campaign.
