"Brake Booster Faulty"

Anyone experience their "Brake Booster Faulty" warning? My sensor appears and than disappear. Even when I am driving on the fwy or the city the "Brake Booster Faulty" light up. When I turn the car off and on again everything is normal again. I took it to the dealer and they can't find anything wrong with the sensor or faulty codes that would cause the problem. My brake is fine when press. Not odd sounds or an any thing else. Any thoughts anyone?

Vacuum leak most likely near the small pump on the passenger side, rear corner of the engine bay under the black plastic cover. Start it up and poke around in there and one of the hard plastic vacuum lines is most likely cracked. When it gets big enough the pump will run almost continuously to keep vacuum in the system and the warning light will just stay on.

Thank you. I will look into it this weekend. I'll keep you posted. Do warranty covers this kind of problem?

Just wrap electrical tape around the hose and it will cure the issue. Seriously.

(It's vaccum, not a high pressure hose! It's a small known leak issue that is easily fixed with a touch of tape)

Not sure if it does or not. My CPO warranty expired about a while ago.

And like Cole stated, tape works great. I cut the hose so the crack wouldn't propogate and leak again using rubber hose to make up for the part cut out.

as i was wrapping my cars booster vacuum hose noticed this broken hose , have taken close up pictures, and i think it should be mounted onto the air box. can anyone mention how important is it to go back into its place?

That is the air intake line for the air suspension compressor. So, is it critical? I'm not sure. It there so that only filtered air reaches the compressor. I'd just epoxy it in place and call it good. Otherwise if you replace the lower half of the air filter box that should do it.

The error message you're getting would not be caused by this air supply line. It's likely that something else is causing this issue. The most exposed parts of the air suspension (and those most likely to suffer damage) are the wheel sensors at all four corners. I'd start looking there and see if anything is amiss.

If you get this error code it is likely a hose leak. Follow the line off the brake booster compressor. It's an easy fix. I had to remove my break booster to find it but that was 2 screws. I found it right after and used a pipe clamp and some rubber cement to fix the leak.

Someone grabbed decaf by mistake today in the morning.
I know. You know. No need to be talking like that. Turn that frown up side down.
