I ordered my Cayenne on Friday but have asked them to hold it until I can get some info about changes for 06. It's too freakin bad that the dealership can not show me an 06 order manual. I am ordering out of an 05 manual.

Anyhoo ... does anyone know of any changes from the 05 to 06 model line?

The only thing i know is that the MY2006 cayenne cd changer will support mp3 format

 

try the cayenne section on Rennteam.com. Being german and all they usually have the first info available on upcoming Porsche model years...Try posting the question there...

Mana: PCM will support MP3, DVD based started already in 05 in case you did not know. hm... nothing much basically.

 

I thought I saw that the 06 CT came with the rear camera standard. Renntech.org has the 06 order guide online.

 

is the 06 the start of the refaced cayenne? i know they are changing the front end of the car.. either 06 or 07 can anyone verify?

 

The rear camera is confusing for an order, basically if you have a turbo, there is only 1 option for about $1500(requires PCM), if you don't then you can get a bundle with park assist for about $2500(Still requires PCM). Kinda like the seat options with this, but without that. Porsche order sheets have always been confusing.

I'm also wondering if the MP3 thing is just a software upgrade that everyone can get for their PCM. It doesn't seem like it requires a hardware upgrade.
