What are the popular packages/options?
Plan on going in tomorrow to purchase a CS. I need to option out the car and was wondering what are the popular or necessary packages/options to have? And what should I stay away from? As a note, I'd rather be on the spartan side than full and heavy of gadgets. Thanks!
I have the standard CS w/ moonroof, heat insulated glass, 18 spare/boss sub, 18 turbo wheels, was very satisfied but I think I missed out on the PASM/air suspension i should've got that and the 4 zone temperature control, I could care less with the PCM it's not touch screen very behind from Lexus. Other than that the CS is awesome SUV best I've owned. good luck , they should be giving good deals at this time.
the Most important optionts that you should not miss is the Air Susb. , PCM , panarama sunroof
in second place you can order 4 ac zone, rev camera, light package , entry and drive (i like it ) , bose system

For me, must have is:
1. Xenon
2. PCM (dash looks naked w/o it; other wise i dont really use it)
3. Soft look leather (adds luxurious feel/look for very little $)
4. 18 inch Turbo wheels (this is basic upgrade so you better spend $ on other options)
5. Air suspension (use it daily for easy entry & exit)
Subject to availability or affordability:
1. Bose (is noticably better than basic stereo but basic is damn good too)
2. 20 inch Techno wheels (was not looking for 20in. but thats how my CS came and am glad I got em)
3. Wood or carbon fiber interior steering / gear shifter
4. Porsche Entry & Drive (didn't think much of it until i purchased my CS and now i end up using it 99.9% of the time, the other 0.1% time it doesnt work properly - which isnt too bad imo)
If you really want to be lavish:
1. Sport design package
2. Full leather interior (its literally everywhere...dash, doors, etc.)
Hope Im helping here and not confusing.

for my CS i got:
PCM
Air suspension
Black out kit
if i had the choice again:
Sport seat
Airsuspension
black out kit
I'd leave the PCM out and get an after market double din navigation unit that is ipod ready. Amplifiers and speakers.

I didnt get the sunroof because I never use it but I heard that it hurts your resale value if you have a luxury SUV and no sun roof, but maybe that is salesman BS. I would definitely go for the electric comfort package which gives you memory seats that you can program to remote control or something and the trunk door closes hidralic, would definitely go for the Navigation, and maybe park distance control. If you plan on keeping stock wheels I would go for the 19 or possibly the 20.
Let me note that i just went to see the Cayenne fitted with the Sport Design kit and it looks very good and agresive for not being aftermarket. If I was tight on money I would give up all options and just go for the Sport Design Kit and maybe Nav, it just looks much more agresive with the aerokit
