2009 Porsche Cayenne V6
Hello,
I'm planning on buying a 2009 Porsche Cayenne V6 automatic with roughly 70000 km (44k miles) for 30k. The car is fully loaded with Navigation, sun roof and all imaginable features.
One question I have though is the tailgate has the usual Cayenne decal but after it are the number 955 in red. I know the 955 is the number name for a 2002-2007 Cayenne so I was wondering what it means.
What do you think about the price for the car?
Thanks

It has a few months of warranty left from the original 4 year dealer warranty.
I'm not sure about the 40k mile service or paper work. We should be getting the car within a matter of a few weeks (deposit was given). I saw the car it looks very nice, but have yet to test drive it.

The 40K service is a couple thousand and has a large check list. I would want to make sure that its been done. Also make sure the brakes are in good order.
You could pay 30K for a nice car but if it needs the service, brakes and tires, that could literally add $5-6K.

Ok I'll take a look at the brakes and tire thread to make sure it's all in good condition and find out about the 40k service. Thanks for that advice.
One of the cars I own is a Jeep Liberty and I'm used to $30 oil changes every 3000 miles. Would I be required to go to a Porsche dealership for an oil change on the Cayenne and how much could that cost me and how often?
Thanks

I think it sounds like a reasonable deal too. I would expect the seller to change the oil and make sure the service is up to date.
You might consider a pre-purschase inspection by a qualified Porsche mechanic. It will set you back ~$300, but it is usually a good investment (either for peace of mind, or if it uncovers a significant issue).
