Custom 955 CTT Exhaust
Thank you! It looked like an x-pipe to me, but the guy behind the counter called it an h-pipe, so I stuck with it. It's an x-pipe from now on.
There is a pretty good pinch in the piping of the stock exhaust tip. It's my experience that this definitely quiets the exhaust note a bit, don't know about a performance difference but... I just got aftermarket tips on my exhaust with 2nd cat delete and it sounds way better, I'm looking forward to doing the primary delete soon.

Nice sounding exhaust! Do you know what kind of resonators were put on?
Check out Rob at Leistung Motorsports for some secondary or primary cats delete pipes. Has great stuff at excellent prices.

I've been looking at the Leistung Motorsports cat delete kit.
Since the exhaust note is more rumble and burbling, you will not hear the turbo through the exhaust. However, if you get an aftermarket intake and diverter valves, you will definitely hear it dumping air back into the intake tract from cabin and front of the vehicle.
I sometimes pay attention to the turbos and DVs working and realize how cool it sounds- which is admittedly silly- but cool nonetheless.
Yeah... I would chalk that up to a non-technical person. From what we can see, that is definitely an x-pipe. Which is good since an x-pipe will scavenge the heads better and have a slight advantage over an h-pipe.

I have been thinking about the Leistung Power Kit and diverter valves for a while. I'm sure it would give me the giggles.
I just gave this advice to another member yesterday- right out of the gates the best value/performance will be an ECU tune, diverter valves, and secondary bypass pipes. It is well documented here that these mods alone are good for close to an additional 85-100 hp at the crank. Then I would go for the primary cat bypass pipes, unrestricted exhaust tips, then intakes if you want more power. However, be warned if will be too loud for some. For me, it sounds they way a high HP car should sound.

You will love these..really gives you almost instant access to those spooling turbos. One of the best mods I have done to date.
Also, what's the source for the diverter valves?
Thanks!
I went with APR P1 diverter valves. I actually bought a set of DV18 from Evolution Motorsports. PM me. Looking to sell them at a very good price. I went with the APR R1 due to zero maintenance. The others may require occasional cleaning and oiling. There are others out there like Forge. I believe they are all head and shoulders above OE.
I'm a newb to my CTTS and have been looking at HP upgrade options. I note you didn't list the IPD intake plenum among your suggestions. I've been thinking either it or the secondary cat bypass would be my first mod. Is there something to recommend one over the other?

There are two main designs: the aluminum spring-loaded designed (Agency Power, EVOMs, etc) and the reinforced diaphragm-style (APR). The latter is said to have better response and no maintenance. I cannot say which design is better, however, I am sure both designs are built to handle the higher boost pressures.
