2003 Cayenne S needs front Diff / Differential

Hi,

I am new here and have an 2003 4.5 s Cayenne and just learnt that the front diff needs replacing due to clunking noise coming from the front right (driver side) porsche dealer has confirmed this and want mega ££££ to replace not too happy at all my car has done 90000 miles. Surely a diff should last longer but Porsche has put it down to wear and tear!

I'm trying to look for a used one can anyone tell me what part no it is as there is one on ebay with part no DRM 99035 4460310021 which is stamped onto the diff, also there is a part no 4460310020, I understand it is important to get the right one due to different gear ratios can anyone please help me as my Diff is still on the car so cant compare and porsche dealers have a different part nos altogether.
Is it possible for someone to rebuild my diff I'm from the B'ham area or is it easier just to replace.

Any help Appreciated

Thanks

Any updates on this? I have noise coming from the front right as well and was hoping it was just a cv joint or something.

I think the best bet would be to get with a driveline shop and see what they can do for you. I doubt the ring and pinion is beyond worn. Likely just bearings and a new setup.
