Vig03 is infamous around these parts
Well guys, I've finally had some time to spend with the Leistung 3" exhaust. Firstly, everything looks very well made; the materials are good quality, and all the welds look great. The only problem is that I'm having some fitment issues. I've sent Rob an email but I figured I'd also post here to see if anyone else may have suggestions.

The first issue is that the SR-1 needs to be angled down in order to clear the chasis. The OEM muffler does this, but the SR-1 seems to have inlets that come straight out. When we angle the muffler towards the ground, it doesn't mate with the straight pipe due to the angle as can be seen in the pics. Also, When we angle the muffler, it doesn't have much clearance and it touches the heat shield. After all this, the pipes aren't long enough to reach the X-pipe. I can't see any other way to install the exhaust? Only thing I can come up with is fabricating some 3" tubing with a bend that will come from the SR-1 to the straight pipe and give us enough length to connect...

Update

I spoke to Rob at Leistung and he is sending some replacements that will hopefully fix the fitment issues. Fingers crossed!

It's amazing they would ship out parts that weren't even close to fitting.

One would think they designed the exhaust "on Cayenne" and then created appropriate jigs so they could reproduce the correct fit without i) having customers wait inordinate lengths of time to receive the parts with no or horrible communication in the interim; and ii) then not have the parts fit when and if they do finally arrive.

I can only imagine your frustration; hope you get it sorted out soon.
