08 Cayenne S 4.8 cooling pipes, plastic or aluminum?

Can someone help me clarify if the 957, MY08 Cayenne S has the aluminum cooling pipes already? I am about to replace the thermostat and am getting different answers from 2 different Porsche dealers. One says I need them and they are way more exoensive than the other dealer that says I dont need them for my MY. Anyone know of anything different?

I just bought this Pepper and plan on keeping it for a while so I will do whatever PM I should do to it now.

Thanks,

Jose

The aluminum pipe conversion is for the 4.5 liter engines only (2003-2006). There are no coolant pipe updates for the 957.

Is there anything more I should do when switching out the thermostat?

Code P2181 is showing up every 200-400 hundred miles and I was advised that it may be the thermostat.

There are a number of things that can cause that fault: Coolant temperature sensor, thermostat, and water pump are the main ones. If you're not overheating, I'd rule out the water pump.

Now and code P12A1 is popping up. Could this be caused by the battery being weak?
