Service Manual
Service Manual
Not sure about the rules for mentioning other sites, but I found on another site I look at for the Cayenne a dealer selling the factory service manuals for the 2003-2006. I ordered the set and they arrived yesterday. Not sure if the deal is still available or not. If it's allowed I will post the name of the dealer. I am not associated with them in any way. Just wanted to pass on what I found since I had not been able to find a source for the manuals.
I have only opened 1 of the 2 boxes so far, and well I haven't counted the pages yet 8-) but from the look of it yes it is the thousands of pages. It is also all of the supplements and the OBD II codes. It came in 2 boxes. One of them is 70 pounds. In total it is over $3400 worth of manuals. Sale price was $200 for the manuals and $28 for the OBD II info. Shipping was pricey because it was shipped as freight, but it looks like it was worth it.
Definitely an awesome deal for DIY'ers who plan on keeping and maintaining their Cayennes for the long term.
I got both the shop manuals and the OBDII (DME 7.1.1) manuals. The shop manuals include all of the supplements, with the only downside being that none of the supplements have been filed in the binders and there's over 55 supplements. I've completed assembling the OBDII binders, and am moving on to the main shop manuals next. It's a huge project to assemble these, and I'll be acting like Lucy Librarian for at least the next month or two. But the end result will be worth it.
Here's a shot of all the binders:

And here's a shot of the piles of supplements waiting to be filed:

Now, back to filing . . . . .

Spool, that's it. Mine are still in the boxes (one is 104lbs the other is 74lbs). I can't believe the amount of supplements. When I get back from vacation next week I will have to find time to put them all together. The parts guy (Jessie I think) said he shipped one set out east. I wonder if he was refering to yours.
