Tire wear Question
Tire wear Question
Gentlemen,
My rear tires has an even wear inner side wall. The front tires has no sign of wear what so ever. Is this normal? The tires are a 1 year old. My tire size are 285/35/22. I don't drive my vehicle hard. Normal most of the time.

Thanks for the replied. I have not rotate since I brought the tires new. That was a year ago. Is it wise to rotate the wore out rear tires to the front? Since the stopping power traction are from the front.
I suppose it depends on how worn they have become...
I try to rotate my tires every 5,000 miles. All Porsches (including Cayennes) are set up with negative camber in the rear suspension that leads to inner edge wear. It's one of the prices that you pay for performance. You can mitigate this wear issue by modifying the alignment settings, but you sacrifice performance when you do this. Your best bet is to rotate the tires frequently and accept the fact that they will wear quickly.

This should be done on every car but especially on Porsches and others that are known to eat through tires.
