Volume Stuck on Mute

Hey Guys well got into my CTTS today and noticed no music playing so attempted to turn up the volume and nothing. The speaker icon shows up with a line through it showing its on mute. After reading the manual it says push in the volume button quick to turn off the mute, attempted this several times with no luck. Anyone else have this issue? seems like its stuck on mute mode, dont really feel like going back to the dealer but I'm hoping the PCM isnt starting to go. Any help or input is appreciated

I think pushing & holding 1+4 simultaneously resets PCM. Id try that first.

to do a reset on PCM, hold down (all at once), the # 1, 4, and 8 keys on the PCM keypad. The PCM will reset (screen will blank out). It may help. Also try to use steering controls to see if there is a diff.

I actually have the opposite problem
When I mute the radio (from main button or steering wheel, no dif) it stays muted for a while but then randomly comes on again without me touching anything. This can happen at any time, sometimes it takes a few seconds, sometimes several minutes. The dealer said they can't replicate the problem, therefore everything is OK!
Any ideas?

from what PD I have done on my PCM, I found that the wiring harness (the 3 connectors - fiber + two other plugs excluding antenna and satellite), can develop loose connections (especially the non fiber ones). It is not always the PCM that is the issue but the connection from it to the car.

Found that when I took the PCM out, and found a way to keep tension on those plugs/wires, the quirkiness went away. To do so, found a way to place the wiring going out of these plugs, on the side of PCM (gently so you do not strip shielding) when inserting. This way, the plugs tension is consistent and when driving (start/stop), stuff does not shift around causing the quirky behavior.

Something to think about in these instances on this PCM.
