Wwyd?

"Dealer-X" sold me a 2006 Turbo-S with 36K on it. I found it not to be an "S" at all, it has a red "S" glued to the trunk...

Ask for a lot of money back or take them to court. Make sure you have some documents stating them selling it as Turbo S.

If they advertised it as a "turbo S" then you have a case against them.

Yes, on their ad in Autotrader, cars.com, and the locally printed for sale sign I have all of these things with an S.

Caveat Emptor." : a principle in commerce: without a warranty the buyer takes the risk..." They are obviously a low-rent back-street used car dealership and probably (hopefully) didn't know they were misleading you. Did you research the VIN? Did you do a Carfax? Have you called them and asked for an appropriate refund? Do you like the truck? Dealing with the dealer directly is the only way to proceed.

I would NEVER buy a 7 year-old turbo money pit without a full inspection.... Did you? Looks to me that they owe you about $10,000. How long after purchase did you figure it out?

This was a porsche dealer in Iowa. Found out about 3-4 weeks in when I took it to the local dealer for a close look at a leaky hinge under warranty. I love the vehicle. Pretty sure they bought it like that and just kept the ruse going. I have had the car about 1.5 months now, and a 4 year 48000mile bumper to bumper warranty that cost an extra 4k.

So, what did they say? A Porsche dealership did this? I would call them then, if the issue was not resolved immediately, I would call Porsche and report the issue. Hard to conceive that a Porsche dealership would do something like this. What does your CarFax show? It's pretty much standard performance out here that a dealer will have that ready to show you on any used vehicle.

Then (according to my earlier posts) we're all in agreement. Glad it worked out.
