08 CTT possible Cardon issues

My 2008 CTT had a sudden problem today absolutely no warning. As I accelerated there was a series loud bumps coming from under the center console. Babied it and got home, when you are very easy on the pedal its fine as soon as you step on it a little its back and loud. I read a bunch of posts, and was wondering if other 08 957's have this problem. Ive always thought the Cardon shaft was ok on the 957, maybe transmission mount. Anybody have thoughts or ideas. The pig had 48000 miles on her.

Certainly sounds like the Cardan Shaft. Mine was replaced at 75,000 miles. I too thought newer ones were safe. Your dealer can probably diagnose quickly.

955 and 957 use the same cardan shaft.

There have been plenty of posts on the cardon shaft issue. Both 955 and 957 have the same problem- the center support bushing wearing out prematurely.
