Credit where credit is due :-) Vertex/Cardan shaft
Had a great experience with a vendor recently and feel that its worth an honorable mention.
Almost 2 years ago I picked up a cardan shaft from Vertex Auto. About six months after installation I noticed that some grease had slung out of the rear CV joint area and just attributed it to leftover grease sitting outside of the seal.
Well almost 1 1/2 year later I started getting the popping and clicking as well as some vibration from the shaft. Upon inspection I found the joint to be dry as a bone and telltale signs of grease loss.
I picked up the phone and called Vertex, and was transferred to Sid. I told him what the problem was and before I could finish explaining he asked if I was at the same address and stated he wanted to send me a new cardan shaft. He said that it was possible I got a unit that just didn't take to re-assembly and with all the shafts they do, sometimes, very rarely, it happens. I said "no problem" because I am realistic and understand that cars are one of two things
in life your going to have problems with.
Needless to say, Sid insisted on doing the right thing, and three days later I had a new shaft AND flex disk on my doorstep. Also a prepaid return shipping label.
I put the new shaft in and there are no signs of grease loss. The new shaft is super smoooth as well.
Super big shout out to Sid and the boys over at Vertex for being so stand up. In a world of sheisters and cheaters these guys are top notch!

Sid did the same for me. I got a defective unit and called him. He asked when I bought it and said they had a bad batch that had some problems with some units.. sent me out a replacement shaft and flex disk. Its rare to find a vendor that is customer service oriented. I give props to vertex auto for doing the right thing.
