Oil Change info

I do all the work on my 996. Got the 957 in August. I was just curious,How often is everyone changing their oil? How many quarts does the 08 Cayenne S take? And, Is everyone using 0w-40 ? Thanks again!

I used 8 qts. last time I did mine and used 0w40. You should also look into "Durametric" so you can reset you service light. Get the pro if you want to do coding.

RushDL is infamous around these parts
on 955/Hi , its recommended 7K we all do a fraction of that I do 5K changes. Mobil-1 Synth 0-40 is correct. Spec is like 9.2 qts but it all wont all come out so plan on 9 with extra qt in the back. Use the stick to measure on level ground. It Should burn a quart between changes on MK-1 models. Believe it or not the light goes out after removing the oil cap.

I change mine every 5k or 6 months whichever comes first. Some may think it's overkill but that's how I value my ride.

I just went through this with another member. Their website still has out dated information. You can do the coding with any version now. The only difference is the number of supported VINs
