Hey everyone. I was having some issues with my headlight housing. Both leak and have bad condensation. No droplets just bad fog. I replaced both headlight housing from porsche. Cost me $2000 for the pair. I'm getting the same fogging issue on both lights. These are the upgraded housings with vent kit in place. Any thoughts? Dealer said its normal. At this rate my housing will look like the old ones in no time. Thanks.

 

I don't know what type of dealer you have but I've put over 150,000 combined miles, on three different Cayenne's, with no condensation ever. So, for me, it is not normal at all.

 

I haven't heard of any fogging either in the Cayenne headlights...

 

The only thing I can think of is the light(s) weren’t put back in correctly. I switched my halogen bulbs & installed a HID Kit. I’ve noticed when tightening the bolt to lock the headlights into place, it’s still able to lock when not flush in the housing causing air to sneak in the exposed area. I applied a little pressure against the headlights while locking to bolt. That seemed to do the trick for me (knock on wood)

I believe the TSB recommended placing desiccant bags into the back of the headlight assembly to absorb moisture.
