I took my 04 CTT to do safety/emission test. the tech told me that my car has a code P0111: camshaft-timing. I did not see any message or check engine light on on the dashboard. Is this typical for Porsche?
My BMW will throw a message on the dashboard to let me know. I am new to Porsche.

Porsche will let you know most everything form what I have seen. I would get it checked at a trusted shop or a personal scanner.
