Replacing 957 side markers

Hello,

Does anyone have experience changing 957 side markers?

I purchased a pair of clear side markers and having difficulty remove/unscrew the top screw of the side marker. Any advises are appreciated.

There is a thread on here. Might have to search some. He used fishing line to pop them out. It looked very easy to do. I want to change mine also.

I think 958 side marker can be poped out but not on 957. 957 somehow also different than 955 that has two bolts and the top bolt is the one I am having difficulty to reach with oridinery tools. Someone recommend to use flexible screwdriver or ratchet. I have ordered one of these and will give it a try this weekend.

nothing special needed here, just the right tool and patience and it unscrews just like the bottom. loosening the fender liner as much as possible to allow room to work helps.

So I couldn't wait until this weekend to replace the side markers so I did it this evening and I like to share the result/experience.

Tools required:
Torx T20 - For wheel liner bolts
Torx T27 - For side marker bolts
Mini ratchet screwdriver - For side marker top bolt removal

For the passenger side, it is a bit painful that I actually removed the headlight assembly to give me additional access & support to help remove the side marker top bolt as there is a hose next to it (refer to attached photo) if access from wheel liner. In order for me to remove the top bolt from the headlight area, I had to make my own extension (refer to other photo) and it took me about 20~ mins to replace it.

Driver side is a easy one that there is enough room/clearance to unscrew the top bolt so no need to move the headlight assembly. It only took me about 5 mins to replace.
