957 Flip Key

The flip part of one of my keys is not working properly, so the key blade is always out which makes the already big key even bigger!

Does anyone know how to get to the 'flip' mechanism? I've looked around the internet for a DIY but can't find anything for the Cayenne keys.

I was able to get the battery cover off but I can't see how the casing is put together. Audi keys are very similar and have a screw underneath the logo on the back, but I couldn't get the logo off without annihilating the plastic around it which suggests that its not meant to come off?

I bought a full replacement on eBay for about 20 bucks.

My personal reason is same as yours, the blade and fob didn't work too well. So i just took the new replacement, put my internals in it, moved over the blade itself, and I have a new housing, fresh external buttons, strong spring, etc. for only 20 bucks.

As far as taking it apart, you'll have to pry it apart, it is a 2 piece but it is screwed and glued together.

Thanks

I was hoping it would unclip and I could use the original casing but it seems the original one will get broken when taking it apart. Unfortunately, there's no eBay out in the UAE so sourcing a replacement will be difficult
