Question Can someone explain the difference in seat options for the 957? More inside...

Thinking of getting into a 957 Cayenne as a new daily driver. Seems most of the 958s are still too much and seem less rugged. I'm mostly curious about the well bolstered seats with the alcantara inserts. Every GTS and Transsyberia I've seen had them while no base or S cars I've seen were specced with them. Some of the Turbo and Turbo S cars I've seen had them and others didn't. So was it just an option on higher end models and standard on others or what? Also were cooled or ventilated seats available on any of the 957 cars?

I referenced this but it's just an option code list. I'd love to find one with the air suspension, PDCC, and a PT2 or PT3 package but have a feeling I'll be looking a long while for something like that. Are those off road tech packs as rare as I've read or was that just on the 955?

PS: Are the common issues on these similar to the older ones (driveshaft? coolant piping?) or were those resolved? What key things should one look out for on these rigs?

Almost no transsyberia's are for sale. I've been looking for years for the right one and haven't found it. But I believe those seats where the "base" seats for the GTS and Tanny. Not sure about the turbo and turbo S. cooled seats weren't an option in the 955 or 957.Yes the off road packs are very rare, but most people wont even notice it, besides if you find a Tranny.

With the 957 they changed the cooling system so they came with the steal pipes meaning they don't need to be replaced. I believe they fixed the driveshaft issue as well.

I'd stay away from the air suspension, I wouldn't want it to fail and have it sitting sideways. (Airmatic probs aka Benz probs)

There was just a beautiful black one with silver detailing (no ugly orange) for sale near me. Had the light rack and everything. Getting price and miles mixed up but I believe the price was 47 or 48k and miles around there as well. Too rich for my blood and honestly too nice to actually take out to do what it's built for. Plus that's 958 Turbo money.

I actually was preferring the air suspension for comfort reasons and so that the car could be raised for extra ground clearance. We have a 2008 Range Rover in the family so I know the headache caused by faulty air shocks.

I love the black and orange, Thats the one i've been looking for LOL. Black orange and a light bar. 48k, I'd ****** that up I don't care if its 958 turbo money its worth it. But it'd prob just be driven around town lmao. LOL don't get me started on the Range's. If you don't mind it failing go for it. It just seams like a headache that doesn't have to be. How manny times are you going to raise it in LA?

I'm coming from a '99 Land Cruiser lifted on 35 inch tires, so I'd like to have some flexibility with clearance and getting off the beaten path. If I were solely cruising around town I'd probably just buy a sedan or wagon.
