No sound from Radio - works only on hot days!!!

Searched numerous threads but nothing conclusive. The radio display works perfectly fine (display + can change channel, CD, etc) but no sound at all expect when its hot and sunny outside and the pig has been parked out during daytime! works perfect for a while and then dies completely when cold. Hasn't worked all winter and after sitting in the parking lot on a hot day, its working back again. Have changed the fuses. No water leak or dampness under the mats. Any clue?

I would guess this is an amp issue. I had the same problem. Worked on hot days, but no sound in the fall/winter. Eventually found a used amp online at a reasonable price. Problem fixed.

Check all the connections (fiber, cables, etc). When its hot the materials may expand giving it "contact", when it cools it contracts and may lose contact.. just a theory..

if not, pack up and move south where it's hot all the time..

Did you ever find a solution? I only saw your thread after I had posted mine in the 997 forum and it showed up as a related thread in the bottom 🤣
