Cayenne Stock Spring Modification
Cayenne Stock Spring Modification
I have spent well over 30+ hours researching both the Touareg and Cayenne suspension systems and springs hoping to find some information before coming here to bug you guys.
I have a 2008 Porches Cayenne base model and I am undergoing a massive project to get this vehicle romping-ready. Fortunately, my Cayenne has OEM steel springs in the suspension which I have heard is ideal for lifting / lowering since I do not need an Air Ride conversion (I do not have Air Ride).
My questions for you are:
1) What size springs do the Cayenne and or Touareg use?
2) What existing springs can I replace the stock with to lift the vehicle?
3) I have been told past 2.5" lift from spacers will cause drive shafts to be pinched, is this only with spacers or does spring cause same issue?
Again, I have done as much research as I possibly could before coming to the conclusion that either I'm not wording right, or whoever has done it has only kept it to themselves. I really do appreciate any and all information given.
