Just thinking... I'm sure Porsche doesn't MAKE DIFFERENT HVAC systems for the manual A/C and the AUTO A/C models... it's probably the same fans, ducts, etc, etc... right?

SO! On eBay there's always these control panels for AUTO HVAC... it's a panel for AUTO A/C. Mine is manual basic... I wonder if one can just slide out the manual control panel, slide in the new one and be able to access the AUTO feature??

no here is another question I have the 4 zone climate but no memory and parking features if I just change the center control unit would all of does features work

Mudman 2 is right I have the 4 zone and the ducting and every thing is diferent fromt he ones that dont have it. Example. When you open the driver and passenger front doors on a Cayenne with 4 zone there is no big hole on the side of the dashboard to send air to the mid pilar vents behind the driver and passenger.

 

Another example. The compass display should be a software switch, instead its about $1K of additional hardware. The off road NAV is a software switch but its $700+ as it involves a licence key via PIWIS
