Snapped AOS hose Cayenne S 2008
Snapped AOS hose Cayenne S 2008
Hi, while replacing the starter motor today I snapped the plastic hose that attaches under the AOS, I was so annoyed with myself because I know they're brittle and extra care needs to be taken. It's either called Breater Vent Hose or the Oil Return Line. My question is, Would it be okay to repair it somehow until I can get a replacement? I'll seal the repair as well as I can but if there is a small leak would that be an issue? I'm really impatient to see if the starter motor solves my starting problem.
I'm not the most handy person so any suggestions on repairing would be very welcome.
I have a Cayenne S 2008.
cheers.

If I had to repair vs replace, I would probably take a bunch of JB weld plastic and load it on the crack, make sure it is well dried and put on another layer, then dry again. This will make the piece very rigid, so would have to be careful installing. However, if you are in a pich, maybe that could work. In mean time you could work on getting a new part.

I made the same mistake
I even have read your post before the my project! I don't know what to say, please, tell me the OEM no of this part and many thanks if you could share me your experience in replacing it.
