957 S Electrical issue and 15 fault codes
Firstly hello to everyone,
just joined here and need some assistance.
I have a 2009 957 S, already done done work on it. New carden shaft, brakes air suspension compressor and valve block..
At the moment I am waiting for a new battery as the installed one is 9.9 volt. Before that the car was starting and running fine. The rear lift gate would not open by itself so I believe the battery was too weak. The dash would throw the odd PSM failure, Oil pressure fault, Headlight inop warning even though all were fine and working.
I killed the battery trying to start the car on a cold evening. Every fault under the sun was thrown. CEL, PSM, ABS,, voltage too high bank 1 voltage too high bank 2, open circuit's.. engine cranked but not starting, then it sounded as if one bank fired up but the other bank didn't and the starter kept cranking.
would a weak battery cause all these faults?
one fault code pointed towards the crankshaft sensor, I have one on order
I have a new battery on order plus the valve cover seals as I have spotted some oil dripping from top of the engine..
I see a lot of experienced people on this forum so hopefully I can get this wonderful 957 back on the road.
I used icarsoft v3 to diagnose the codes so hope they are correct
