Hi, got a list of triggered error codes and wonder if someone has got the same issues and figured out what the failing part was, or has an idea of where to start and in what order to start replacing components?
I got a 2008 Cayenne base v6
Triggered codes: (See also the attached picture) P12A2 - fuel rail pressure sensor - inappropriately Low above upper limit value DME P2293 - fuel high pressure below lower limit exceeded DME P1021 - fuel high pressure quantity signal implausible DME P0300 - random/multiple misfires detected above upper limit value DME P0306 - misfire cylinder 6 above upper limit value P0302 - misfire cylinder 2 above upper limit value
How it behaves: Engine started rough with shaking and uneven rpm at idle. Got a little better when driving out the garage after a few minutes and then I don’t notice anything else as going in city traffic before hitting the highway. At higher speed engine is in “limp mode” as it limits the power to deliver over 1800-2000 rpm. As a result there is a severe power loss and hard to manage at highway speed with slow acceleration and speed not reaching above 100 km/h. Inclines meaning speed going below 75-80 km/h as the power loss is severe. CEL of course tirggered. After this test run the engine starts really bad cold with misfire and a hard knocking sound which becomes better after a while when the engine gets warmer.
Earlier had some problems a few times with months between occations with engine triggered p2293. I have suspected the high preassure fuel pump in that case but my mechanic said I could go on if nothing more than this few “hiccups” occurred. I so did but now I have a few other error codes triggered, maybe because of this? Did a quick replacements of coils at cylinder 2 & 6 but that was not the issue.
would really appreciate if you had earlier experiences, same codes triggered and figured out or just experience as where to start replacing components to get this sorted out. Thank you!
