I picked one up a couple of months ago and got it for 4k off list. I must say that I continue to be impressed. Something this size should not be able to do what it does-both on and off road. Granted that I'll do much less of the later. I'm glad to hear that only 600 are coming stateside for the excusivity factor. As for value, it makes me happy and all vehicles depreciate for the most part. The CCTS is precisely my idea of what an SUV should be. In this case the marketing hype fits the bill, Super Utility Vehicle. I came out of an FX45 and while the CCTS does not have some of the same creature comforts that I've become familiar, the driving dynamics are far superior and again, the speed is amazing for this type of ride. I never thought I'd like the Cayenne from the moment it was announced, but I stand corrected. I'm a big proponent of not buying first year vehicles and I'm glad I waited on this one. Seems that they've sorted this one out fairly well. Hope to keep this one for a while.

Will post pics when I get a chance. Mine's Crystal Silver. BTW, looks like MB has come out with a new ML63 that matches the CTTS for straightline performance and possibly road handling. Not sure about off road ability or exclusivity based on numbers to be built. Must be some demand for a Super- SUV class. Bentley and Lambo are next.
i was told the new cayenne will be out next year and the turbo will have a little over 500 hp with a new engine and some other gizmos, my lease is also coming due, i will hold tight for a few months to get the new model, no sense ending up with a dated car 4-6 months after you get it, and yes a big hit!

and then a next hot version will come out within a year or two. It never stops...and all will depreciate more or less. I know where you come from as I'm actually a bit the same, but at some point, you just have to enjoy while you can....

It does not necessarily need to be a
Cayenne version, but it still could be. Any hot SUV will do in this case. Look how many hi-power SUV's have sprung onto the market recently. However, Porsche is puting out more models and variations on a theme than ever before. Their stated goal is to produce significantly more. Its the best time in history to be a car guy and there will continue to be, at least for the near future, a constant supply of hot choices. Enjoy while it lasts or wait until the timing is right for you. Obviously, you hold the cards.

The CTTS presents the pinnacle in SUV/SPORTS CAR combo bar none for model year 2006....it can hang with the Hummers off road and with the Lambos and F cars on road....without breaking a sweat. 2007 and beyond its anyone's guess what will best it...and if anything does then more power to it. But like you said at some point you just have to enjoy while you can and for my dollars the CTTS is a must buy!

If interested in another 50+ hp and 60+ ft/lbs tq. GIAC dealers have an ECU upgrade that works for the Turbo S. Switchable program to stock if desired via thier flashloader. All good.

Yup. This is what the guys from EVO tell me. This is an update from their CTT program (GIAC's). They don't show a dyno chart yet but tell me that we should see slightly more power than on the regular turbo program. I think I'll try it out.
