They need to take it down off their site if they aren't serious about developing a supercharger. I am interested in their kit. It seems like the only way to make serious power out of the Cayenne and Cayenne S is forced induction. Yes I know I could just upgrade to a Turbo but I really would like to make some power out of an S. Nobody has done this yet.

I actually emailed STS the other day to see what they had to say about modifying one of their kits or developing a kit for the Cayenne. I know some of you may think I'm nuts but I seriously think the STS Turbo system is a bargin. It makes a lot of power on the vehicles its installed on. I also like how its remote mounted which allows the turbo to cool. I think this system running low PSI would not hurt the Cayenne or Cayenne S engine.

Codey,

Thank you for your interest in STS. Unfortunately we do not offer a bolt on kit for your 2004 Cayenne S Porsche vehicle.

However, we do offer a universal kit which has been a solution many of our customers in this same
situation have chosen.

The STS universal kit starts at $3125 and comes with all of the main components as our "bolt-on" kits but without any of the piping or silicone connectors (All universal kits come as tunner kits).

Thanks,

The Cayenne would need tuning after the turbo install... correct?

I checked out the STS website and I think it'd work GREAT on a CV6... for those who haven't seen the system, it's a standalone turbocharger that replaces the rear muffler. There is a remote mounted air filter back there that connects to the engine intake thru a long intake tube. The only REAL drawback I can think of is that your Cayenne would become undriveable in water deeper than about (I just went outside and measured) 16-18" of water.
And ironically enough I just drove my Cayenne thru 18" of water last night leaving the beach, there was a flooded section of the access road.

Reviving an old thread..

Has anyone actually gone ahead and done this, wondering about any needed software tuning. Disappointed VF killed their kit!

And before I get all the "just sell and get a CTT"...
the car is paid for, and I don't really want to give it away on a trade in, plus I'd rather wait a little longer and get my GT3 vs a CTT.

That sounds like fun. I'd love to take my CTT offroading but these 22" TechArts wouldn't fair too well me thinks.

As far as extracting more power from the V6, are you sure you're prepared for all of the typical headaches that go along with adding a blower? Examples are tuning, dashboard lighting up like a xmas tree all the time, fuel issues, cost w/o resale advantages and, if applicable, voiding your warranty on the engine and powertrain (depends on dealer).

Just make sure that you look at all the different parts you will need plus you cant forget that this motor was not originally designed to be boosted so the compression and components themselves need to also be addressed.

I have a 2004 cayenne s too and it would be a DREAM if I could turbo it. Have you found out if you can use the Turbo or TT parts on the S? I am mechanically inclined so the whole conversion would be done by me, its just this model of cayenne is very difficult to find good forums on.
