Turbo / Upgrade Kit For Base Cayenne

So i tried to upgrade to a Cayenne S after 8 months of driving my 2006 Cayenne and 7k miles. Bad new is my Cayenne is worth $15k at the dealer and an upgrade to the S would be another 25k+. Not worth it?

My dealer suggested super charging my engine with a Turbo kit. Does anyone know anything about this process? He said it costs about $7k. Is it reliable, my Cayenne is only 270hp, my dealer upgrade would take me to 380hp.

lastly, i just upgraded to Turbo brakes and calipers.

Is this possible ?

2006 Cayenne, Black, Havanna Beige, PCM, TechArt 22, twin tail pipes, xenon.

I'm waiting for some V6 info, too... VF engineering is working on a SUPERCHARGER kit that will give about 370hp... but it's not released yet.

There is a turbo system lurking somewhere which takes the CV6 to 400hp +

How can ur Cayenne be worth $15k at the dealer? Or are u loosing $15k from ur paid price? I think that if u want to upgrade, u can upgrade to a CPO Cayenne S to save some money. I think that its better than voiding your warranty with a turbo and having the threat of reliability issues.

you should do the v6 turbo that would be original...nobody has done it

I think the cayenne would look sick with a big fat innercooler stuck right in front, behind the grill

Does anybody think that a performance shop would be able to fit a turbo somewhere under the hood...you could take measurements and get the pipes bent to make it work. I just wonder about the software working with the upgrade. You could also look into getting a bolt on remote mounted turbo system like STS turbo (www.ststurbo.com) makes.

I would think the STS turbo system could be installed relatively easy by a reliable performance shop. I know they don't make a kit for the Cayenne but STS or a similar company might work with you to make a kit.

They show a STS sponsored 997 on the site. I'm not sure if the car has the kit installed though. I would love to see a turbo kit around the 5k price range for the Cayenne and Cayenne S.

I'll bet that Gemballa kit is way too expensive.

hmmm...it's totally up to you.
If you like to race then go with 997.
If you still like Cayenne then get 'tt', you will not regret it and on top of that whatever you put on that car will worth it.
It may sounds like I have 'tt' but I have 'S'... ...wish I gone for 'tt' and thinking about changing before I spend too much on 'S'.

How does Gemballa justify a price of $25,000 for a turbo kit?

VF is not serious about Cayenne SC development

I've talked to a couple guys in CA who were serious about letting VF use their Cay's to develop the software required for the supercharger...they tried to arrange it but were ignored...VF just blows them off. Too many other models to develop???...not as many Cay's??? Not worth their time??? DON'T HOLD YOUR BREATH on VF!!!
