DEETZ:

Do not go to Effective or any of the other crappy places around Boston. They are about producing volume, not quality. A detail is more then just making the car shine. It is to provide a payer of protection through either a sealant or yellow carnauba that helps protect your paint from the elements. Although I do understand your reasoning about having it get all dirty by the time you are back home. That being said, I can't understand why you do not want to wash the car yourself, it is a balmy -25 degrees F today!!!

hehehe thats the main point.. the last time I washed my car was actually before the Xmas holiday... and before I went back to Indonesia. It was already very cold around 30F.

Now my car is full of salt and it is really dirty... I just want to wash it to get rid of the salt though I'll get it again in few days time. I know effective isnt that great but I can't go to your place to get it detailed now.

Probably in few months time, I'll definitely visit you

Sounds good DEETZ. I will also show you how to proerly wash your car when you are up here so that you understand why I do not like washes like Effective and Dr. Detail.

DEETZ,

TCM is the man. He details my car. The only place I would go.

As far as the other crap detailers in the area: You know something is fishy about the soap when one sponge-full can cover the entire car! Wheels and all! I always imagine the soap just eating the finish right off of the car.

hehehe yea, but right now, I just want to get rid of salt from my car, and I can't do it in my apt cos the concierge took away the hose

For detailing, I'll wait till summer, then I'll visit TCM ^^

but is there any other alternative where I don't get swirls on my car?
