Nightvision..**PICS**

Just had nightvision camera installed in my cayenne. It is awesome. They basically fit the nightvision camera on the front grille, (they have to cut a couple of the slats to fit it in) and they install a switch on the side of the steering wheel to activate it.The image comes through on the pcm screen.

The camera itself is mounted on a steel bracket behind the grille, and it is weatherproof. The image quality is outstanding, both day and night.

I am now having a memory stick adapter connected to the camera so i can record MPEGs of my off road adventures, and play them back at home.

I was inspired by RRs 'Adventure Cam', and I will post some pics later on. (the infrared lamps glow red at night making the car look kinda like Knight Rider!!)

PS I aint the Hoff!!

do you offroad at night? why put a night vision camera in there? couldn't you just dash mount a cam for when you want to record something?

yes i offroad at night, but cam also works in daylight so i can film my daytime on/offroad adventures as well. I felt integrated cam was better than handycam car cradle...

Pics are coming tonight...!!!!!

PS Corey, they hooked it up to PCM by running wire directly to screen with a switch to toggle between Nightvision and AV functions. They couldnt hack the serial BUS fibre optics.

Total cost was £1500 fitted.( +£300 for removable hard drive)
