My first car was a '74 911T and now I'm a Cayenne owner. My wife is driving my Cayenne while her Audi is geting some scratches fixed, and I've been driving my brothers $115K '06 SL 500.
I am proud to say (as a Porsche owner) that in a fast race down the parkway with a black 996 I was reminded what it means to be a Porsche guy. The SL was in sport mode, and I had the pedal to the metal- If only my brother was there so I could see him cry!

It is an SL 500- maybe he bought it as a 2005 left over?
Anyway, he thinks it is one of the fastest cars on the road, and would have been quite upset. I had that pedal so far down I could have touched the asphalt.
What can you expect- I told him to buy a Porsche!
... and, a Boxster S is less than half the price!
Too bad I didn't have a video camera- maybe I'll set one up to record his reaction when I tell him.

Good Run...
The SL500 is only 302 HP, 0-60 6.1, an older BoxsterS will prob smoke that..lol If I see a double digit AMG in the back , then I jsut wave "nice car"

lol! Kinda sad, they really sold him- to the tune of the price of 2 Boxster S's!
Now, only to be out with him and have him run into a modified CS . . .
