Cat Bypass Pipes

I've recently purchased an '06 Turbo S. I live in northeast Ohio and we have emissions tests here. I would like to install cat bypass pipes but am concerned that it will fail the e-check. Has anyone installed the pipes in an area that has e-check?
Sorry if this was asked and answered...new here.

The bypass pipes are after the O2 sensors, so they do not effect emissions- dealer told me that, then I looked at the diagrams and saw it myself.

Thanks for the quick response guys! Yes, I was talking about the Fabspeed by pass pipes. I was just a little confused as to why I have 4 cats if I only need 2. Two must be for cold start up? Hey if I fail the e-check I can always put the cats back on. It looks like a pretty easy bolt on set up.

I think those are just silencers

You would love the Bypass pipes on your turbo S.. you should be at 540HP after .. what i like about the turbo S is the Transmission behavior, it;s totally different, downshifts quicker..

Cool, I guess the cat bypass pipes will be the second mod then. First mod was a set of Techart 22's, can't wait 'til spring to put them on. Darn snow.

That is my understanding too.
If you can get under there, have tools, and you are handy, do it yourself. Otherwis it's only an hour of labor at the dealer.
Still deciding whether or not to do it on my V6- will I really notice a difference, or just hear the cool sound?
Step up to BMC arir filters or EVO intake/air system too.

Cat Bypass

I've installed these on my Turbo S. Easy mod. Sounds a bit more aggressive with a distinctive V8 rumble. I have not dyno'd the change, but it should provide a bit more power as advertised since exhaust flow is better. However, it's hard to feel a 5% gain.

Wheels, Go for the Fabspeed bypass pipes and at the same time install the Evoms airintake system with diverter valves, If you could also do a specific ecu tune for your car so that it could yeild the max hp.

Oh here we go...you guys are as bad as the guys on the Harley forum spending my money. Only kidding I love it. I can see this will be a great place to get information.
OK, so I need to do some research on Evom air intake, diverter valves, BMC filter and ECU tune right?

I'll ask again: Is it worth it to install the Fabspeed CatBypass pipe on a V6?

Will I notice better throttle response, or just hear a better exhaust note?

Your morelikely to hear a better exhaust note than to gain a few hp.
