Looking to buy, opinions wanted..
I am in the market for an '04 CTT and wanted to get some opinions on price/warranty etc.
From what I have found it looks like the '04s are around the mid $50k range. With 40,000 miles the extended warranty is a must, and this costs anywhere from $3000-4000 depending on the vehicle?
Is there any reason to worry about buying this car with 40,000 miles on it? The few I am looking at are all one owner cars, from the north/mid west and seem to be in flawless condition with clear titles.
This is obviously a very subjective post, so feel free to voice your opinion. I am moving away from the BMW X5, so hoping the CTT will make me much happier! Looking to buy a lowering module and get the flash done as soon as the CTT arrives!
Thanks.
Jason

ctt is def. nicer than any x5 in my opinion.
infact i liked my cs over any x5.
the new x5 looks like school bus from inside and didn't like the fit and finish of it inside compared to cayenne.
if you get a warranty then you have nothing to worry my firend.
evoms is selling a lowering module really cheap. you should consider it.

A CS will make you much happier let alone a CTT..
but if you want my advice , dont buy anything manuf before 7/04 ..
just to be safe.. go for 05 and above with manuf date pass 7/04
and make sure it's CPO.. to 100k mile warranty
piece of mind..

Not to hijack the thread, but instead of making another one I thought I'd just ask my question here, I'm also curious about the Cayenne (recently realized that my coupe isn't as practical/roomy as I'd like it to be), if I was to get the Cayenne, it'd be my one and only car (probably would pass my 330Ci off to the girlfriend or something), anyway, I've been putting about 30k miles a year on my main car every year for the past 2-3 years, how well would a Cayenne (possibly Turbo, still in the browsing phase right now), hold up to all this mileage I'll be dumping on it? Not worried about gas or oil changes or general maintanence, but like, how well would the engine and electronics and stuff hold up? Any of you guys put a lot of miles on your Cayennes?
Thanks in advance!

I love my CS we just bought. It's my first Porsche and I am super impressed with it. We test drove the X5 and I think the fit and finish on the CS is definitely nicer. Good luck on your decision.

Too many X5's around- they're getting to be like Camrys and Accords.
I see lots of them by where I work- the service bays at the dealer just down the road are always full of them

I am looking at a 2005 CTT with 45,000 miles. The dealer said with CPO'ing the car the price will be (approx because the CPO could be cheaper) $61,500.00.
Does this sound like a good deal?
If anyone knows of anything else around this price (year older or a bit cheaper), I would be very grateful.

with the Cayenne you should expect electronic error almost all the time... especially the Cayenne Turbo with its Air suspension which breaks almost all the time... i know several Cayenne and Turbo owners that experiences electical problems all the time including myself... i've owned my truck for 2 years now and i swear its been in the shop for more than 20-30 times... i almost never washed my truck since they give car wash everytime the truck is in... but maybe its just me... its a great truck none the less with impressive performance and comfort... and besides the CPO would cover most of the electronic errors...
