Tpms

When I took delivery of my Turbo S in December I had winter tires mounted to the 20" wheels. The Turbo S has the TPMS. I've purchased 22" Techarts for the summer. Is it worth getting TPMS in the Techarts? Do I need to buy the sensors from Porsche? Part number? Price? Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thanks.

umm I believe you need TPMS on any wheel/tire mounted to the CTTS or you will get a fault in the cluster for monitoring

Good point. I will check at the dealer for a set of sensors.

I would highly recommend TPMS with larger wheels as it's much more difficult to tell by visual inspection when your tire pressure is running low (I have them on my 22-inch wheels as well as my winter ones).

Tirerack does sell them...they were a lot cheaper from Tirerack than what my dealer quoted me.

I've seen the TPMS systems on Tirerack's website, but they looked like complete sets (sensors and monitor). Can you tell me which sensors you bought from Tirerack that work with the Porsche system?
Thanks for your help.

I think the TPMS systems you're referring to here are for vehicles that do not have a built-in TPMS system. Tirerack sells the OEM TPMS sensors used by Porsche; you probably won't find it on the website. I believe they sell for roughly $96 apiece.
