Are '08 Cayennes Still 955's?

Or is there a new internal model designation?

yes as bd997 indicates.
similar to 996 from 99 to 01 and 02-04. although they were facelifted they platform was known as 996.

955 is what it will be!!!!!!! for a few years to come.

The original Cayenne was project # 9PA 955 with Porsche, the new Cayenne they call "facelifted" as BD997 stated, the new "facelifted" Cayenne carries a project # of 9PA1 955, so to answer the question yes its still a 955.

Cheers gents

You're sure my '08 CTT doesn't have a much different motor than the '06 CTT? Plus, with bigger brakes than the '06 CTT and the PCBB active suspension, I'm not sure "facelift" gets anywhere close to describing the '08 CTT.

It certainly drives differently than my '03 and '05 did. But fine, if you want to call it just a facelift.

Facelift is what Porsche calls it, i would call it something different considering the only thing thats the same is the interior. the engine, trans, body, and suspension is all completely different.
