Front Crest Removal

Has anyone changed their front Crest to the silver ones? How do you remove it? In my 997 it was so easy....

I have the silver crest on mine. I had my body guy take off the front bumper, he did the crest and my clear side markers. At the same time he smoked the clear side markers and my taillights. The silver badge is much nicer IMO....

yeah, unfortunately it looks like the only way on a cayenne is to remove the bumper.

On the original Cayenne design you can sneek your hand down there nad remove the bolts (not very comfy mind you). But it is accessible without removing the whole bumper. Not sure if the new redesign is similiar though.

Sounds like the perfect time to paint the lower black pieces
And yes as everyone else has mentioned, front bumper must be removed.

I noticed in your other post you were not crazy about removing your bumpers. How come? Bring it to a good shop and you will have no problems. They are just held in with clips. You had the headlights out with not thinking twice. I had my bumpers off after 1 week and it is not like you can tell they were removed. It isn't a big deal and you will be much happier with a silver crest and painted lowers........

something to think about... its just that im not sure that painting under the car white will look good after a month of driving....rocks and debris etc will begin to chip away at the paint.... and the 3M protection cant stop all of them....

Bernard,

What will you do with the gold one on your steering wheel??... just yankin' your chain. If you do the silver hood crest, I will as well. I figure with a little peer pressure between us that we will get more things modified to our liking.
