Independant shop in SoCal?
Does anyone know of a good indie shop that will service the Cayenne in So Cal/San Diego area?

Irvine european in........ Irvine, Ca.
Had my BMW & 996 serviced there, honest shop, pretty good pricing, they dont like to do aftermarket.

I always thought Lucent was more of a custom shop. Do they do factory/routine service at a better price than the stealer?

Yeah, thats what I thought too, I'm looking for someone to do routine service at a reasonable rate.

If you're good with cars... the oil change is easy, the air filter, cabin filter and apparently brake pads aren't too bad. That should save a few $$.

Its the 40k mile service that will need to be done in a few months. Will the factory warranty still be honored if i go the DIY route?

check this out... 40K is due. Change the OIL and the CABIN FILTER yourself. You just slashed $400+ off the total cost of the service.

What do you think of changing the spark plugs as well? Should be pretty straight forward, right?

possibly, but a bit more work than the other 2 things.

Technology Automotive in Montebello. The shop has done a great job with my CS and four of my 928s over the years. The shop is also AAA approved.
