Did you actually try to put the roof rails on? I am just curious to see how far off they are. Maybe a few modifications to them and it will work. If not I guess I could do the transport system although I am not crazy about it.
For some reason, in my eyes, the roof needs something up there.

G,
u'll find out when u give it a try. not off a lot but Germany engineering is about precision. i know u won't give up til u play with it.

i agree. i didn't want the pano but nor i want to wait for the car. i thought the rails would fit cuz the car looks better with it. too bad it didn't.

There will be some tinkering done, no question. Worse comes to worse I will return them and get the transport bars. Something will be better than nothing.....

Arling, thank you for the pics!!! That does show quite a difference in the tracks. The rails are already on there way so I will see what I or my body guy can do. If not I will just return them and get the Transport bars, they are cheaper anyway. I appreciate your efforts with this!!

I had gotten the rails and tried to put them on, no go. I wound up returning them and got the transport bars. I think I like how the TB's look better than the rails now that I have them. Where did you see that the rails would fit? There is no way that I could see, they are too long.

I am not sure how those were put on but I tried it with my own hands and there was no way they were fitting. Just as Arling posted above, the rails were way too long and did not line up where the mounting points were. Amazing that these were put on, I would like to see how it was done.
