I've been thinking that I should trade my CTTS for an M5 as a more practical business/client ride, plus it's more fun to drive. Given that I'll likely take a bath on the Cayenne, any reason I should wait? I don't dislike the CTTS, it's just overkill for my use. Maybe some can talk me into keeping-or not?

I would stick with the turbo s as i think therer are less ctts than m5s around, if you want the perfect executive/sports saloon then settle for the v10 audi s8 which is larger has the lamborghini gallardo engine and a superb B&0 sound system.

M5 will not give you better client ride for business reasons. The suspension is on the stiff side, and I personally have personal experience sine my brother drives a M5 the CTT rides much better and more enjoyable. M5 is good as a sports sedan and fun factor.

Or you might want to consider the E55/E63 Mercedes as it's fast and comfortable. I came from E55 to the CTT and have not regret any bit tho. I am holding out for the 2009 new year models of the E60 Twin Turbo E-Class (as rumor has it right now and my friend has one on special order already).

Probably right and thanks for the reality check. Better to hold on to the CTTS and enjoy it for a while given the depreciation hit I'd take. It's still a hell of a vehicle.

i agree M5 will not be a better client ride for business reasons. it is a poorman's sports car. really fun to drive for what it is but Cayenne is a more practical car.

Nelson,
time for another proper sports car. i know how u feel.

I think the S8 is a much better choice if you're going to be using it as a client ride. The M5 is a bit stiff and the Cayenne's back seats are NOT comfortable AT ALL.

I've had the unfortunate experience of seating in the back seat of my Cayenne for about an hour after my friends complained about the discomfort... and it wasn't a pleasant ride.

Can't fool you guys, Arling was right. I'm just trying to justify a new ride in the name of practicality. I know, I have a sickness.

went from cayenne S to M5.
The M5 doesn't hae a smooth ride, especially with the SMGIII.
Fun factor yes.

But if you wanna haul clients, you can never go wrong with Mercedes.

nice choice on the M5! Mine is Alpine white/ Black as well!

The thing with the M5 though is SMGIII sucks. I had error messages the 3rd day I brought the car home and subsequent messages.
Sometimes in auto mode, starting from traffic you get a massive jolt as the gear changes from 2nd - 1st. Sorta like a car rear ending you.
