Towing question

I am planning on taking my GT2 from Houston to Harrison AR (about 1200 miles round trip) to have Protomotive install a fuel system etc. I was going to rent a trailer and tow it w/ my CTT.

I have a hitch, but have been having some problems finding the electrical plug so that the trailer has lights/brakes. I hope to resolve that issue and asked a local Porsche race guy (Sam Shalala) who has towed his share of race cars to the track.

He said that the fundamental problem is that the GT2 is a rear engine car and therefore the trailer will be rear heavy. That creates a situation in which there is very little weight at the trailer link to the truck and therefore it is easy for the trailer to fishtail/flip or other catostrophic results. He said he only tows using a Suburban/Expedition or preferably a Dually.

Is he overly cautious? Is it better just to drive my GT2 directly and put the miles on it?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

With the Cayenne weighing over 5000 lbs. plus having massive 6 piston brake calipers, I don't see this being a problem. A few Cayenne owners here tow their 911s.
