purchase advice

Check it out this is my first post!

I would like some feedback from Cayenne owners....

I am considering the following options for my wife:

'04 CTT 47k miles
'03 CTT 47k miles
'06 CS 15k miles

The '04 CTT and the '06 CS are about the same price. The '03 CTT is $3000 less. I am concerned about not having a warranty but I have checked the archives and see that most people have been satisfied with the reliability. I could purchase an aftermarket warranty but they price out at $3750 (3 / 36k, $200 deductable) which seems high. Would you buy the warranty? Would you pay extra for the '04 CTT even though it is in similar condition to the '03 and it has the same mileage? Would you recommend getting the CS because it will have a warranty? Is there any big maintenance items for the CTT's that will be due at 50k or 60k miles? Thanks for the help!

GoldenPEPPA is infamous around these parts
skip the 03/04 TT's

get a 05CTT or 06 CS (preferably Ti edition)

And actually the 03/04's have quite a few issues. The 05's are cleaned up and the 06's seem very solid. There are MANY 06 CS Titanium Edition out there with low or no miles that can be had for 15K+ under msrp at the dealer. We're talking like $48K for an 06 CS with lots of options.

if you decide to get the 04 CTT ,get it certified...pay about $3000..dont go aftermarket warranty..
I agree with Goldenpeppa, the newer cars have less issues.. also if youre wife dont like to drag race, why not look at the 08 V6? unless you will be driving it a lot

I would stay away from an 03. First model years are not always the best. Still getting out the bugs

Thanks!

I appreciate the advice. I just got back from driving the cars. The '03 turbo is in perfect condition and they have lowered the price. They are at $43,500 plus the warranty which is aftermarket and goes to 100k miles. I hear you about the fact that it is the first model year. Based on what I have seen that is a good price for a turbo.
