turbo bumper conversion...UPDATED W/PICTURES!

ok so i know, this subject has been killed, but i've searched and a lot of the posts on this subject contradict one another.

i have an 05 CS and i want to put on a turbo bumper, purely for the simple fact that aesthetically its by far much better looking that the S bumper.

aside from the bumper and the valence which i pretty much almost have already (in the midst of obtaining it).....what else do i need?

do i need new mounts, new duct work, new anything?

any detailed information would be GREATLY appreciated...... part #'s would be a plus

thanks!

You need the Turbo bumper , the valance , the turbo grills , a new connection for the headlamp wash , and thats it . normally if you order the front bumper it comes with the grill , the fog lights can be used again so no need to buy new ones but you need the front valance .

the bumper im getting is just the bare bumper...it was a take off another vehicle...so i will have to purchase the grills. so i have the bumper, the grills, and the valence.

so i must order new connections for the headlight washer jets? anyone know part #'s?

do i need new mouting hardware or will the mounts from the S bumper work on the turbo?

Regading airduct - @turbo side ducts fixed on intercooler frame so you can not attach ducts propertly. remove center duct, or cut on top and leave on place. All parts for washers exept cilinders and pipes should be replaced turbo ones, as parking aid sens housings.

you are a cheap one. there are a lot of pieces so spend the $ and do it right! it will be worth the effect and i agree 100% that the turbo front end is PERFECT.

lol did you just call me a cheap one? lol...

i am by far not cheap. its just that i want to make sure i have the correct pieces, as even the porsche dealers dont really know what is needed, i asked 3 dealers and they all give me different answers. i assume on this board there are people who have gone through the conversion.

Thanks for all the helpful information. I dont have parking sensors in my car so Im thinking ill just have the body shop fill in the holes or do something else to them...since getting sensors is pointless as they wouldnt function.

Parking sensors - standart on turbo. Buy sensors housing, paint them separately from bumper and make 6 plasatic round pcs painted, glue them into housings and will get good looking as original turbo.

I like the turbo look. I myself switch cars pretty quickly...the cayenne ive had for about 14 months and its the longest car ive owned! i usually sell/trade after a year....hence im switching up the look of it to sort of 'refresh' it for me

that being said, i dont want to make too big of an investment such as the other options for for bumpers because I'll probably end up trading it for a 911 or something by 08!

and ive always been a fan of original OEM styling.

Most tuners offer only lower spoiler for oiriginal bumper, or complete kit as magnum with wide flares. I know only Hamann and Jubily who offer completly new front bumper to be installed "separately"). Any more?

Regards

so what are my options....either filling in the holes (which i have almost decided to do) or buying the sensors? The sensors are about $70 a piece, and getting them and for them not to function is almost pointless to me. What are you referrering to when you mention "housings" for the sensors? Would that fill the void of the holes or do you mean sensors?
