CTT Brake Pad replacement UPDATE: Porterfield R4-S = amazing!

Ok so I was in the last quadrant or 25% of the stock pads and I decided to try a more aggressive street/race pad. I put the Porterfield R4-S Ap977 Street pad in the front and rear of the truck and lets say the truck stops like a race car. HOLLY SH*T! Throw you through the windshield power with no break in. After the first 1000 mile the brakes are my new bit of fun. Who ever Said braking wasnt as cool as HP? Its rediculous. I wait till the last second to hit my brakes everywhere I go now. LOL Try them you will become a believer. Not many pads for our 6 piston brakes. I have cayenne 6 piston brakes on my Audi B5 S4 as well and I run the same pads. Both applications I feel this to be the best Street/Race pad Ive ever used. These pads dissapate heat better then any that Ive used. COming down from 170 in Mexico is not an issue even cold.

How is the brake dust on these? I absolutely hate the stock pads. I clean the wheels, drive 2 blocks and they are all dirty again. Is this an improvement at all?

Would you happen to have a link where we can buy them? Do they have pads for the 06 CTTS too? I am also already sick and tired of the brake dust. My RS4 with cross-drilled rotors didn't dust half as bad as the CTTS with solid rotors. Thanks!

Extending Rotor Life

When you are in need of new rotors, do try to get them cryogenically treated (cryo-treated). This process will increase the life of a rotor 2x to 3x of non-treated rotors. The process cost is fairly reasonable - I pay approximately $25 per rotor. I use Cryo Science in Oceanside, California. They offer local pick up and delivery. Another source is Frozen Rotors (by Diversified Cryogenics). Both websites have information how the process works.

Thanks for the pad tip.

They are some good pads. i have rs-4's on my Dodge truck DD as well. Big improvent in braking, no noise, and I have black wheels so I don't notice a change in dust. They are made only a few miles from my house here in SoCal.
