Options questions for 2011 Porsche

My wife and I test drove it over the weekend. We are content with the new model and think it would be a nice addition to our stable. Here are some quick questions about option list that we are not 100% sure and wanted to hear opinion about it.

1. keyless go; is this worth it, I think as much we are paying for it, I would like to have this so need to take the key out etc. about 1k or so for this option.

2. two tone leather : the cars at the dealer only had luxor beige and black. Couldn't see the 2 tone that is in the booklet. Worth it?

3. 14 way adjustable seats vs. standard 8 way. I like the lumbar support, but is it worth the almost 1800$ premium

4. Electric rear sunshade - i want it, anyone else getting it?

5. Ventilated seats - never had it, but the car we drove had it. Our car will be garaged at home and at work, so is this somthing we will benefit from? Live near DC, gets hot but not like middle east or something.

6. rear entertainment pkg - anyone gettting this?

7. panorama roof - I heard this was improvement. Planning on getting it, is there any negative on this?

The rest of the options, we are set. The navigation is a must, the heated seats are a must, steering wheel heated is noice too.

Please advise.

#7. Pana roof system? a lot of glass on the roof, any body have this? seems like it would let a lot of heat in?? DC does get hot but not as long as the southern states, Fl, Texas, Vegas yada yad yada, Solar glass would be a strong option choice for me for not heating up the cabin, friend had it on his and big difference on our 110 heat index average summer days..

Very handy. I would definitely order this option again.

2. two tone leather : the cars at the dealer only had luxor beige and black. Couldn't see the 2 tone that is in the booklet. Worth it?

Looks good, personal preference.

3. 14 way adjustable seats vs. standard 8 way. I like the lumbar support, but is it worth the almost 1800$ premium

Tough call.

4. Electric rear sunshade - i want it, anyone else getting it?

???

6. rear entertainment pkg - anyone gettting this?

It is nice if you have kids.

7. panorama roof - I heard this was improvement. Planning on getting it, is there any negative on this?

Again, a very nice feature. I would get it again.

Porsche Entry & Drive is a very nice feature. It makes it easier for me to get into & out of my SUV because the seat goes goes the way back and down.

Two-tone leather not worth it to me. Basic black is fine.

I'd spend the money on more adjustable seats, though. I can't quite understand what the differences are, however, at the Turbo level the better seats are not an option--they are standard as are more leather and alcantarra headliner--which is worth it.

Windows shades are worth it: Cooler & privacy. Mine are not electric but I'd go for it.

Ventilated seats in the past have not been up to the effort but maybe Porsche's are better. I can't say. But it's not as important to me as heated seats & steering wheel.

Rear entertainment is not important to me. Even if I had kids, I'd pass.

Panorama roof is nice but it is vulnerable to damage and VERY EXPENSIVE to repair. But if I wanted an open air vehicle I'd be tempted. However, it does make the SUV more top heavy and eliminates all roof top options. But my ski rack on rails makes wind noise and my skis get road dirt, so I carry them inside. I might not get roof rails next time. The sun roof is fine but I might prefer the rack of roof lights ala Transsyberia for night driving.

The options to avoid to keep future costs down as the Panoramic Roof and Ceramic Brakes. Ceramic Brakes are not as useful in cold climates.

The options to get to make her a driving machine are the PDDC and PVT-Plus. I also like the Advanced Off Road Package.

Hope this helps. One can easily spend $20,000 in options.

thanks guys. Yes, the air-suspension is a must. I plan on putting 21 or 22 inch wheels on it. Previsouly on 05 cayenne s, i had H&R springs. While I thought it rode smooth, but when I drove a friend's cayenne - I found my car to be so choppy. This time around I want to get the air suspension.
Yes, the options do add up quickly, we are at 19k already.

I love the panorama roof! What I did with mine was put ceramic tint on it (which emits 99% of the heat) so that I can leave the sunshade off most of the time, even on hot days. The roof has become a lot more useable now and it brings more of an open, airy feeling even with the roof closed.
