2011 Cayenne panorama roof: Real life pictures

I would like to thank CCEXXP1 and appreciate his willingness to take some detailed pics of the panorama roof. As you all know the pano roof is made from tinted single-pane safety glass and features a manually adjustable sunscreen. I really like what I see so far from these pictures. I was apprehensive since I went with it on my order sight unseen. I also asked CCEXXP to take some pics of the instrument dials (since he had a tough time seeing the numbers on a bright day) and the 19" turbo wheel in case someone was interested. Here's to the waiters of the 2011 Cayenne.

Thanks for posting...

I'm lucky I know how to take the pictures! Anyway, I'm convinced that Porsche ran to the Audi garage and lifted the pano roof from the Q5 parts bin! I looked at one close up over the weekend, and it looks really similar. Also, the car get GREAT highway gas mileage, with 4 people all their luggage and going between 65-80 through mountains I averaged 24.6mpg! I used to get 18 from an 08, this is terrific

CS vs. X5

Hi, good morning and thanks again for posting my pics...I can not get it for some crazy reason! Anyway, the CS is a bigger rear section than the X5, my friends (2) have X5 with pano, the CS is better, larger, etc. I notice a huge difference. The interior screen is operated electrically also, and it offers "1 touch" open and closing, which is nice too. I'm still on the fence which I like better, the 08 Pano or this one, pros of this one: cheaper, more glass when closed, cons: open area not as large as '08. Overall, I think this is better, and I have no choice, so its good! I'm really really glad that I ordered it, but, I love the sun/light.

How Much weight does the Panoramic roof add to the Cayenne? When my wife had her Edge I think it added almost 100+lbs to the car. I am just curious what German engineering has done to keep the weight down.

I don't know about added weight, I didn't see that in any specs. It is surprisingly quiet though considering how much glass it has. Its also nice at night closed in the city. I'm glad it was only $660 instead of $3900 like last one, really made ordering it easy! I found that if I didn't control myself with all of those fabulous a la carte options I could get carried away!
