Just ordered a 2011 Base Cayenne

I usaually post on planet 9 forum because I have a Cayman. Planet 9 does not have any or many Cayenne posters so I thought I would come over here to 6speed. Last Friday I placed a custom order for a 2011 Base Cayenne for my wife. She was driving my Lexus is250 AWD as a hand me down because we got rid of her 2007 G35X. I believe she came down with Porsche Envy which she will never admit. At first she wanted nothing to do with my Cayman but is now addicted to it and wanted her own. She decided on a base 2011 custom order who we bought from Casey at Porsche of Silver Springs. Casey is really easy to work with and answers all my stupid questions about options. Here are the spec so far. Keep in mind this is for my wife who may drive 3k a year. She only drives to work if she has a deposition or has to meet with a client, other than that she takes the metro to work. Here are the specs so far and are not locked in becuase it is a April build.

Looks like a great build! Have you considered wheel upgrades, I like the 19" turbo ($1950) or the 20"RS ($3510)? Voice control seems like an affordable splurge, from Rome's description it sounds like it controls most of the PCM.

thought about the voice command however, every car I have had it in I always end up yelling at the car while driving. My wife made me promise not to put it into this truck. I really like the 19" turbo wheels and have been going back and forth. Strong possibility they will end up on the truck.

The cayenne voice system isn't worth it. You'll yell at this as well.

I got a % off, but promised Casey I would not disclose it. Nothing out of the norm from what others are getting. Second porsche this year I bought from him this year, I got my Cayman in May. Truck is a April build so figure April-March time frame. Sorry I can't be more specific.

I never understand why people "can't" tell the discount if any.
I got $4,500 on my $141k CTT build and another $8k on a cayenne S I am considering buying for my parents.

Board is designed to help others with anything all the way up to knowing what they can negotiate to.
It's not the dollar amount or percentage off that really matters, it's about helping others. One may get 50% off one might get 8% some may get $4,500.

4500 off 141k build seems very low? I would figure with that much option they're making a killing already.

Great build! Seems like you're only missing the performance options (PASM, PDCC, PTV) and wheels. I definitely would add wheels (the standard V6 wheels are blah IMO) and if I could do it again with my V6 order, may have added PASM. But then again, I may have just opted for the CS!

One thing to further consider is the Pano roof. Those who have it seem to love it, but in the V6, it's not really a "good deal" like in the V8. The moon roof is optional on the V6 and you're already paying for it with the option package you chose. Therefore, when you add the Pano roof, you essentially are paying for both, but only getting the Pano. The price of the Pano is close to the price of the 19 turbo wheels...

Did you try pricing a CS with similar options? I'm assuming you're not that far off in price between the 2... not sure if $ is an issue, but the extra $10-12k might be worth it.

Dave, if your wife is now addicted to Porsches she will certainly appreciate PASM at the very least. Since you have several more weeks to lock in your build, I suggest she take the time to check out Cayennes with/without PASM. As for the discount Jace got for his turbo, I think there is much less wiggle room for CTT custom orders since it is in such demand at this time with very few build slots. Plus they made up for it with a generous discount (IMO a good 3K more on the CS order).
